What are your fees?

 

Exchange Rates

As for exchange rates: we keep very competitive exchange rates (equal to or sometimes better than when you search it on Google!) We don’t currently charge markups on these exchange rates. Fees and exchange rates will always show transparently as part of a transaction, unlike other applications.

 

Depositing money into your Parallax balance:

We currently have no fees for receiving ACH and wire deposits. Any fees imposed on the sender or deducted from your received amount are imposed by the sending bank.

Card Deposits

We accept all major credit cards for payment. When you request a payment, you'll receive the exact amount you requested; we don't deduct any fees from your payment. The payer will cover any transaction fees, which will be added to their total payment amount.

 

Please note that if paying in a different currency (for example, using EUR to pay USD), your bank may charge additional foreign exchange fees.

Gas Fee

When you see a gas fee estimate before a transaction, it's just a preview—the network doesn't charge you this amount upfront.

Instead, what happens is:

1. You initiate a withdrawal/transaction, and an estimation is displayed
2. The actual gas fee is determined in real-time based on network conditions
3. This final gas fee is automatically deducted from your withdrawal amount

This system ensures you pay the exact gas fee required at the moment your transaction is processed—not more or less than what was actually needed due to the high fluctuation of Ethereum gas fees.

Our goal is faster and cheaper international payments. We hope to reduce this over time, until fees are near zero!
