The usual timeframe for a deposit to arrive in your account is between 1 to 5 U.S. banking days, starting from the day the sending bank confirms that the transfer has been completed.
Once it arrives at Lead Bank, you'll see it show up in your transactions tab with a "pending" status as it goes through review before being released to your available balance.

What do I do if it's past 5 banking days? How do I trace a transfer?
It is best to always ask for a copy of the transaction details from your client or employer to first double-check on the transfer details used.
If all details are correct and they've received confirmation on the transfer's success, please contact us with the following details:
- A screenshot or document of the transfer details.
- The transfer IDs of the transaction that can be requested from the bank:
Transfer Method | Tracking ID | Format
ACH | Trace ID | A 15-digit number.
Wire | IMAD/OMAD |
Consists of a combination of the date, a source identifier (which is alphanumeric), and a sequential number, presented in the following format: YYYYMMDD ABCDXXXX 012345
|
Note: The IDs above are different from reference IDs. If not indicated on your transfer receipt, please contact your bank and ask for the Trace ID or IMAD. This allows us to track the transaction.
If the bank support is unable to provide you with this, you may have to reach out to the bank manager for assistance.
Are bank transfers instant?
Bank-to-bank transfers are not instant; the speed can vary based on the type of transfer:
-
Wire Transfers: Domestic wire transfers are typically processed on the same day or within a few hours, but they are not always instant. International wire transfers may take 1-5 U.S. banking days due to additional processing and currency conversion. We do not support international wire transfers via SWIFT at the moment.
-
ACH Transfers: ACH (Automated Clearing House) transfers are generally not instant. They typically take 1-5 U.S. banking days to process, though same-day ACH options are available for certain types of transactions.

Why is it taking longer than the provided ETA of the sending bank?
There can be several reasons why a deposit is taking longer than the estimated time provided by the sending bank:
-
Intermediary Banks: If the transfer involves intermediary banks, they may cause delays in processing the transaction.
- Bank Cut-Offs: Banks often have cut-off times for when a transaction will be processed. Initiating a transfer past the cut-off times may be processed on the next banking day.
-
Weekends and Holidays: Transfers made on weekends or holidays may experience delays as banks typically do not process transactions on these days.
-
Cross-Border Transfers: If the transfer is international, currency conversion, compliance checks, and differences in banking regulations can add extra time.
-
Compliance and Verification Checks: Sometimes, additional checks for anti-money laundering (AML) or fraud prevention can slow down the process, particularly for large or unusual transactions.
-
Technical Issues: Occasional technical glitches or system maintenance at either the sending or receiving bank can also cause unexpected delays.
